WELCOME TO TRINITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH! Each service we are blessed by the many visitors who worship with us. Many are attending for the first time. We want you to feel at home among us. We are family: children, youth, adults, singles, couples... a rich variety of individuals coming from many different perspectives. Together we struggle with life's choices and challenges; we share each other's joys and concerns and we boldly celebrate our Christian faith.

TRINITY was founded in 1790. It has been at its present location since the fall of 1945 and is a welcoming and caring church to everyone. Worship is a vital part of our life together. Traditional Worship celebrations are held each Sunday throughout the year at 8:15 and 11:00. A contemporary service led by the Praise Team is offered at 9:30 a.m.

WE PROVIDE EXCELLENT CHILD CARE! With a great staff of adults, children know they are wanted and loved here at Trinity. We have quality care for young children in our nursery area. Nurseries are provided for young children during all Sunday Services and most mid week activities. Children are encouraged to be a part of Worship.

TRINITY HAS ONE OF THE FINEST SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAMS! Christian education has always been a primary emphasis here at Trinity. Classes are provided for every age level. Many different formats are used to offer something for all likes and needs. These classes meet each Sunday at 9:30 am and 10:45 am.

TRINITY'S YOUTH MINISTRY is alive and growing! We have two full time staff members as well as college aged and adult volunteers. Our youth ministry is based on developing relationships with each other and with God. In addition to Sunday School and Bible Study, we have Sunday evening Youth Fellowship for Junior and Senior High that includes worship time led by a Youth Praise Band. We offer at least four mission trips each year and schedule more than 50 "hands on" mission opportunities in the local community. Come and join us as we grow together!

CHILREN'S MINISTRY at Trinity goes beyond Sunday School and child care. Children can participate in a variety of activities including: Handchimes, Mission Kids, Kids Korner, Movietime, Drama, Heifer Project and Choral Choirs. Also, once a year there is a special Sunday when the worship service is done entirely by children. An out of town Children's Mission Trip takes place each summer.

OUTREACH IS ESSENTIAL at Trinity. Throughout the year, Trinity members are involved with various outreach projects in the Richmond area, such as the Central VA Food Bank, Men's Emergency Shelter, Hospitality House, Cross-Over Ministries, CARITAS and Habitat for Humanity. Mission trips for children, youth and adults take place each year and our people are involved in a variety of ministries to the homeless and hungry locally and globally

MUSIC at Trinity is vital to our experience of Worship. We offer 7 choral choirs for persons of all ages. In addition, we have children's hand chimes, an adult hand bell choir and an instrumental ensemble.

WE CARE ABOUT those with handicapping conditions. We provide wireless hearing devises in our worship services, enlarged copies of the worship bulletin and large-print bibles. Our building is equipped with ramps and an elevator to provide access for wheelchairs or walkers.

WEDNESDAY FELLOWSHIP NIGHT provides something for the entire family - food for the mind, body and soul. A fellowship dinner is served from 5:30-6:30 followed by fellowship time and occasional programs. Meetings for children, youth and adults follow the dinner. Get out of your kitchen to enjoy this inter-generational time together!
