SUNDAY—September 5, 2010

  • Sunday School—9:30 & 10:45 each Sunday morning.

  • UMW Open House—Our UMW Circles meet monthly and we would love to have you join us.  Visit the Welcome Center this morning to find out how.  Missionary Lisa Nichols from Henry Fork Service Center in Rocky Mount, Virginia will speak at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14 on the topic God’s Love Lives Here.  Our mission emphasis is paper towels, toilet paper, and zip lock bags, as well as monetary gifts.  A luncheon prepared by Kelly Kindle follows the program, with a suggested donation of $6.

THIS WEEK (through September 12, 2010)

  • Bible Study on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. will begin on September 8 with a study of the book of Genesis (in the Mastin Room).

  • The Parish Nurse Ministry and The Bullis Financial Group will feature Lisa Hollier of Choice Connections as the first Senior Seminar for the fall season on Wednesday, September 8.  The thought of wanting or needing to move to a retirement/care community can be daunting and perhaps scary.  Ms. Hollier is a specialist who helps folks ask the right questions and get the right information to determine which community might be appropriate for them.  Come to the Mastin Room at 4:30 p.m. to find out the questions you need to ask and information you need to get to make the best decision for yourself or for your loved ones.”

COMING UP

  • Upward Basketball/Cheerleading Camp a success!—Through the efforts of our great volunteers, we successfully brought the Upward experience to over 80 children.  Thank you to all the volunteers that helped bring the camp alive through your time, efforts, donations and prayers.  Be on the lookout for more information regarding the regular season.  On-line registration begins September 13 — Go Upward!

  • Bible Study on Tuesdays at 7 a.m. will begin on September 14 with a study of the book of Genesis (in Room 317).

MYSTORY

  • MyStory is the name of Trinity’s ministry in which people from the congregation tell when, where and how they have experienced God at work in their lives.  Trinity is committed to hearing these stories each Sunday morning so that the congregation hears how the gospel is lived out in the present day.  We believe that every person who is committed to being a faithful and fruitful follower of Christ has a story to share.  If you would like to hear more about the MyStory ministry or have the opportunity to share your story, contact Rev. Teresa McRoberts at tmcroberts@trinityumc.net
We are a community graced by God's love,
called to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
