Children Support Shalom Farms

Children’s Lenten Mission Offering 2017

The theme of this Lenten season is “Seeds of Resurrection”, so we have decided this year that the Children’s Lenten Offering for N4 – 5th grade kids will support Shalom Farms. Children will be asked to bring in work gloves and gardening hand tools.  Sunday School classes will collect for 4 weeks, beginning March 12 according to the outline below.  We encourage all N4 – 5th grade children to participate.

Sunday, March 12 –  God said, “See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.    Genesis 1:29

Sunday, March 19 –You cause the grass to grow for the cattle, and plants for people to use, to bring forth food from the earth,    Psalm 104:14

Sunday, March 26 – The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.     2 Corinthians 9:6 -7

Sunday, April 2 –When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, or gather the gleanings of your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor and for the alien: I am the Lord your God.
