Annual Mattaponi Healing Eagle Trip
Mark your calendars for the annual church-wide drive for the Mattaponi Healing Eagle Clinic Day on Saturday, July 14. Bring your donations of over-the-counter (OTC) medicines & supplies to the Mission Central room on or before the deadline of collection on Friday, July 13.
The Mattaponi Healing Eagle Clinic is moving to the Upper Mattaponi Reservation. The new location is at 13383 King William Road, King William, VA 23086. Several providers that volunteer their time to help at the Clinic will continue to help with the medical care of all Native Americans in Virginia and now also those in the North Carolina area at least once a month. The medical students (usually 3rd year students) will also continue to help at the Clinic all through the school year.
The following is their updated wish list:
Adult vitamins; aspirin; baby aspirin; Fish oil; CQ10; Sustacal (all flavors), Glucerna (diabetic drinks, all flavors); Diabetic test strips; Salonpas patches; Triple ointment; bacitracin ointment; hydrogen peroxide.
Depends (all sizes); Kleenex; cough drops; Toothbrushes; tooth paste; dental floss; band aids; Q-tips; hand sanitizer; shampoo; Kotex pads; panty liners; baby wipes; hand soap; hand cream.
Other Miscellaneous Items now also accepted by the Clinic: Paper plates, napkins; bottled water; toilet paper; paper towels; dish soap; coffee; creamer; sugar; envelopes and photo copy paper for mailing; stamps; and manila folders.
