Henrico County Spring Break was the week after Easter and some Mission Kids chose to spend one of their vacation days serving around the Richmond area.

Mission Kids visited Sherbourne UMC Food Pantry and took a snack mix which they had prepared for the food pantry clients and helped deliver food items collected at Trinity. They were able to help organize the items in the pantry and prepare food bags for families that would be visiting. Most exciting was presenting the $900 check (which was the majority of the Souper Bowl collection) to Pastor Pam Culler to help purchase a much-needed freezer.

When we went to the Children’s Hospital, the kids were able to deliver 32 fleece pillows (which they had made at a Mission Kids meeting in February) and get a great tour of their facility.

We wrapped up our day by delivering the dog and cat supplies which had been collected from the Trinity’s Children’s Lenten Mission offering to Richmond Animal League.

We got to see and play with some of the animals, as we learned more about caring for God’s creatures. Thanks to all those that help to make this day possible! What a fantastic day!!
