3M Study Group

3M Study Group

The 3M Bible Study Group will study “The Third Day“ by Tom Berlin, a six week Lenten study, beginning Wednesday, February 21.

In The Third Day: Living the Resurrection, Tom Berlin uses his gifts of storytelling and understanding the Scriptures to connect the reader to the experiences of several individuals around Jesus in his final days, focusing on new life and redemption rather than loss. Join Peter, Mary Magdalene, and Thomas as they feel the despair of losing Jesus and the surprise and joy that awaits them in the resurrection. This study traces events around these characters, along with Paul and the disciples at Emmaus, and how the resurrection transforms their lives.

The 3M Bible Study Group meets Wednesday nights, 6 – 7:30 PM both by Zoom and in person. Contact Judy
Oguich for the Zoom link or for more information. Everyone is welcome to join us!

Sundays:

For Sunday worship, we will make every reasonable effort to have worship.

Weekdays:

The Trinity Preschool will follow closing announcements from Henrico County Public Schools.

For Trinity staff, community groups, and vendors who supply services to Trinity, we will basically follow Henrico County Public Schools closing announcements.

However, there is a slight difference. If everything comes together properly for snow removal, Trinity might be able to reopen quicker. This all depends upon our ability to clear our sidewalks and parking lots. If we can clear these areas and safely get people into the building, then we might be able to reopen a bit earlier than a large school system.

As in the past, we will communicate closing and schedule adjustments via our website, social media, phone message in the church office, and local news media outlets.

Tech-savvy?

Tech-savvy?

Serve with Trinity’s A/V Team

Does technology interest you? Are you looking for a practical way to make a difference?
Do you want to help Trinity thrive? Please consider joining our Audio/Visual Technology Team (A/V Team).

Our live sound and video technology has advanced considerably in the past year, taking on a more central role in our worship ministry. Accordingly, a new and urgent need to build a strong team of volunteers to operate our sound and video equipment in worship has presented itself.

There are three distinct roles to play on the A/V Team during a Sunday service:
• Sound Tech (operates soundboard)
• Video Tech (operates cameras and video switcher)
• Visual Tech (operates the slideshow and cues videos and other media from the computer)

Tech-savvy individuals—with or without A/V experience—please consider joining this unique ministry team. All necessary training will be provided, and a flexible scheduling rotation will be implemented.

To volunteer or to learn more, please email Aaron Miller (amiller@trinityumc.net).

Care Committee Welcomes New Members

Do you like to keep in touch with friends and loved ones? Do you like to send cards? Then you would be perfect for our Care Committee! The Care Committee is looking for a few more members. If you are interested, you would be assigned two of our homebound members to send cards to and to call twice a month (Trinity provides the cards and the stamps). It’s a simple way to reach out and help our homebound feel connected. We would love for you to join us! Contact Judy Oguich for any questions.
