Welcome to our November-long group study of Advent!
(Why November? Because who wants to add one more thing in December?)
Let’s face it: we experience Advent under a lot of pressure. (That is, if we experience Advent at all!)
Hurried and harried, many of us enter December with heavy expectations of perfection. The perfect decorations, celebrations, foods, songs, presents, moments. Amid it all, we even hope that something will capture the magic of our own Christmas memories.
That’s a lot of pressure on us.
But Advent invites us into something different. In Advent, we take our place as watchers in a world where God is the primary actor. In Advent, we watch for God entering the world.
So prepare with us to enter December in a new way. This year, let’s receive Advent not as a short season of busyness, but rather as a lasting way of paying attention to what’s holy.
Gather with friends at Trinity on Sunday evenings throughout November from 6:00-7:00 PM, beginning November 4th.
(We will gather in the Welcome Center on each Sunday with the exception of November 11, when we will gather on the stage in Trinity Hall.)Sign Up
