Bellemeade Park

After years of successful informal programming in outdoor learning and nature play, Friends of Bellemeade Park began working with Nature Connection Lab in early 2024 to develop a formal program expansion for preschool through 2nd grade students and teachers. We will begin to fill the current service gap in outdoor learning and nature play for our youngest students by offering field trips to RPS preschoolers this school year.
The field trips will be led by professional staff and teachers. Volunteers will be there to enjoy the children and the beauty of the park. We think you'll be impressed by the power of wonder and discovery time in nature during these guided experiences!
Training sessions will be offered to demonstrate our process and the value of nature activities for our 4-year olds and to familiarize volunteers with the park.
