Trinity UMC Upward Basketball and Cheerleading League
Since 2008, Trinity UMC’s Upward program has introduced children and families to Christ through sports. This fun, supportive environment allows children to learn athletic fundamentals and life lessons through competition and cooperation.
We are offering basketball and cheerleading for kindergarten through second grade students for the 2025 season. All games and practices are held at Trinity United Methodist Church (903 Forest Avenue, Henrico VA 23229).

Important Dates:
• Registration: September 1 through November 1 (late registrations only accepted as space is available)
• Coach Training: December 2 or December 10 at 630 pm (only need to attend one session)
• Meet the Coach: week of December 16
• Game Dates: January 4, 11, 18, 25/ February 1, 8, 15, 22
• Practices: Practices for 1st and 2nd grade teams will be held once per week beginning the week of January 6. Cheerleading practice schedule will depend on coach availability.

We need COACHES for basketball and especially cheerleading each season. If you are able to coach, please note this on your child’s registration. We accept coach pairing requests.
We need additional REFEREES and GAME DAY ANNOUNCERS.
